The GTe is the fastest thermal barcode printer its class. The design of the GTe is built on the e Series of SATO printer architecture, which provides high-speed data transmission.

The GTe is equipped with 6 MB of Flash ROM. 4MB for main memory and 2 MB for font storage. An optional 20MB memory cartridge provides expanded storage capability, ideal for housing TrueType fonts, format forms, graphics, history of printed data, LCD messages, and SEMBL programs. The metal casing and structure provide a durable design to satisfy the printing demands in rugged environments.

The GTe offers three (3) interface ports. They are:

• Mini-LAN interface slot.
• Interface board (user-configurable)
• External port (supports two pin-types: 9-pin and 14-pin)
• The three interface ports offer multiple connectivity   options for applications where data communications

The new A8 is loaded with standard features! The rugged thermal/thermal transfer label printer features 203 dpi print resolution running at 5"(125mm) per second with an 8.5" (216mm) print width. The A8 comes standard with an internal rewind, as well as a high-speed 32-bit processor with 4 MB of RAM, so the A8 is fast, with more standard RAM than most other label printers, ideal for downloading TrueType fonts or graphics, creating dramatic labels with impeccable print quality on bar codes, graphics and text. The Thermocode Series 2 intermittent range of on-line thermal transfer printers encompasses six models offering print areas from 53 x 53 mm up to 107 x 160 mm.

An individual Thermocode can be operated locally via its control module (see more details below) directly from a PC using the design software supplied with every unit, or up to 99 printers can be networked together and controlled from a central work station.

Many of our competitors place emphasis on their print speed capabilities (mm/second); however, in reality, it is the total cycle time that is the true test of a printer’s ability to achieve high production rates and maintain print quality. This is particularly true when printing batch and expiration codes, dates, prices, and bar codes.

In fact, recent trials at major pharmaceutical and food packaging companies have proved that the Open Date Thermocode 2 achieves the highest output speeds with minimal cycle times. The clear advantage of printing at lower speeds is superb print quality and extended printhead life with limited mechanical wear.
